Here are four cuts from performances that I've had the chance to tape with the great folks at CBC Radio.
The first is a 2010 Halifax edition of "The Debaters," hosted by Steve Patterson, where I debated Mark Little on "Whether Anne of Green Gables is a better symbol for PEI than a Potato." I might have had a slight advantage on the topic, being from PEI. Also because I was arguing in favour of Anne, and she's the sweetest creation to hit North America before high-fructose corn syrup.
The second was recorded for the national CBC show, "Laugh Out Loud," hosted by the very funny Sabrina Jalees. It was taped lived at Sir James Dunn Theatre, in Halifax NS, on February 12, 2009. Heading the bill: Kate Davis, Jocko Alston, Picnicface, and Simon Rakoff.
The third was recorded at the CBC Halifax Comedy Festival on April 23, 2007, at Casino Nova Scotia. The special was called "Homegrown and Hilarious," and also featured Maritime comedians including Peter White and Mark Little.
The fourth was recorded in February 5, 2006 for the national CBC show, "Madly Off in All Directions," hosted by Lorne Elliott. The show at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, in Charlottetown, P.E.I. I had the luck to share a stage with Derek Edwards (comedy idol!), Pete Soucy, and the Island's Sketch-22.
