Nobody loves Christmas more than Islanders. Time to head up on the rooftop to test blinking Christmas lights, and pour new rum into the still-absorbent fruitcake.

In “The Island Christmas Review,” Patrick Ledwell and Mark Haines are taking the high spirits of their popular summer show, and launching them into holiday territory. Join Patrick and Mark on November 28, 29, and December 4 through 6 at Harmony House in Hunter River, for a sleigh-ride through the joys of the season.

Shows begin at 8 PM. Tickets can be purchased by calling the theatre at (902) 964-2255, or on-line at www.boxofficepei.com.

Haines and Ledwell enjoy creating shows that mix homegrown original comedy, and songs that move feet and heartstrings.

Writing about “The Island Summer Review 2” in summer 2014, The Guardian shares that the show “had the audience roaring.” The Buzz writes that as audience members, you “go home feeling like you’ve experienced the real spirit of the Island.”

The duo are looking forward to bringing this blend to the holiday-themed review, full of recollections, melodies, and mishaps.

Mark Haines will take his multi-instrumental gifts to the stage, re-interpreting Christmas favorites on guitar, fiddle, and piano, sometimes all at the same time.

Patrick Ledwell will perform comic routines that explore a range of helpful seasonal topics, such as how to sing carols when you don’t actually know the words.

“The Island Christmas Review” promises to be a festive evening, mixing comedy, storytelling, and music. Put it on your list for the start of December— it’ll get you right into the holiday spirit.
