DESCRIPTION:The Island Summer Review is a PEI tradition. When the summer arrives\, friends and family circle a night on the calendar\, and plan a return to Harmony House in Hunter River so they can catch this year’s show. \nWhat’s in the review? Comedian Patrick Ledwell and musician Mark Haines create a set of original Island stories\, with unforgettable humour\, diverse musical styles\, and a crowd-pleasing blend of everything between. \nEach summer\, they present an all-new edition\, to take the audience on a different brisk-paced tour through Island mindsets and moods. \nFor tickets: Visit the Harmony House TicketPro box office \nFor this upcoming season\, the show will take a special look at how the smallest province in Canada fits into our huge country\, as Canada celebrates its 150th birthday. PEI is the birthplace of Confederation. This year’s show will have fun sending up how this modern and mobile country still shows its roots\, and retains its Island connections. \nThere will be stand-up jokes\, heartfelt folksongs\, fiddles and trumpets\, and lots of crowd participation. The only rule? That the stories ring true to the Island\, welcome everyone aged 10 to 90\, and help people check worries at the door. \nStart rounding up your family and visitors. The Island Summer Review is putting together a great summer night that’s 100% true to the Island\, and 100% Canadian. \nThe Island Summer Review will open July 5th. The show will run three nights a week\, each Wednesday\, Thursday\, and Friday night at 8 p.m.\, until September 8th. \nTickets are $24 plus fees and HST\, with 20%-off ticket specials for the first two weekends in July.
